These are personal photos from a few of my adventures over the last decade or so…along with people who are important to me. Enjoy!
My perspective on adventure:
Adventure= being out of your “known”; doing or experiencing something for the first time
Adventure is fabulous for it’s own sake…and more importantly, it provides the conditions and the mirror to see and come to know our essential nature. There is an opportunity for reflection and awareness that accompanies the planning, long approaches and difficult and joy-filled moments. We get to know?intimately?our true desires, fears, old limits and new possibilities. An adventure experience is all about getting real with yourself, getting outside of what you think you know and becoming who you really are. Knowing and living the wonder of your uniqueness, sharing that with others, is how one makes the biggest, boldest impact on the world. It’s how the world becomes a better place. Now, isn’t that an adventure worth living?!
“Be bold when you embark for strange places. Don’t leave any of yourself safely on shore. Be brave enough to live creatively. The creative is the place where no one else has been. You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. You can’t get there by bus, only hard work and risk and by not quite knowing what you’re doing. What you’ll discover is wonderful. What you’ll discover is yourself.”
